Happy birthday, happy bathday.

twenty-two rounds around the sun!

Thanks for all the wishes, the presents, the dinners, the cakes. I would almost say it's the best birthday! but don't we say that every year, so pretty much, you get my drift.

Hmm birthday speech and birthday notes. Thanks for remembering really, though I myself isn't huge on birthdays. Probably from the parties I used to throw. You just can't keep throwing parties. And I don't see much of a point for birthdays, is it self-indulgence? To assure yourself that your life can be celebrated and you actually have friends? If it's truly about a celebration of a certain being, people celebrate that not yourself right? I don't see the need to be absolutely psyched about this day. Hahaha, I mean okay I am happy, to go through another year of adventures and mark another year of growing up, but we can do that any other day right? So is this day just an excuse?

Well if you really need to hear this from me, my year from last July till this July. Every birthday the government decides to give me money since I turned legal. Oh a note on birthdays, turning legal means a lot, it's the only birthday I will acknowledge. You can't understand the immense amount of difference it makes. These two years, I grew up a lot, a hell lot faster. I feel like I have never used so much of my brains before. I must say I am glad OC and SP never happened for me. It must be the best thing that happened for the year. To finally move on from these projects, to bigger ones. I am glad I have thrown myself into design much more than anything. And I am slowly convinced that design can bring you to many places. I am glad it brought me to London and Tokyo within months. The two design hubs that I have been wanting to experience since forever. On a smaller note, London was the first capital that I learnt from childhood years. 一番場所を見たい。I am grateful for all the people I have met the year. And to be thrown out there like that, I may curse and swear, but I am still pretty happy. Oh, DoS. Semi like that.

Ah but really, though I am still cynical about birthdays, thank you for all the birthday treats. To me, it was pretty much an excuse to meet my friends. To you guys, I win and you have to meet me. Haha, so thank you birthday for that. So really, I just wanna meet you guys. Please date me out again soon, something more casual please. But wendy we can keep doing that, just that the next time, let's do some Hakkai-san. Whee.

And today's SBFF's birthday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY CASS! Not much of a surprise of what present I'll be getting you, but stay excited. Hahaha.
