The tsunami incident is devastating I must say. One side, I mourned for the innocent lives lost. People were having fun during the festive season for goodnes sake. India, who the hell who think that India would get affected? A place so far from Sumatra. One year to rebuild the place, talking about infrastructure and such, but it's that all? The lost homes and beloved. Death toll of estimated 50,000. Another side, while you mourned for the dead, it's nature's way of helping the earth. You say it's cruel to see it this way but man killing the earth isn't? It's a nature's way to reduce world's population. Stop messing with nature and maybe nature will stop messing with you kids. No matter what, the destruction is caused, it's heartwarming to see the whole world put down their firearms and aid these affected countries. My family has already packed bags and bags of clothings and blankets for the Red Cross. Please help. If you really feel obliged, think that the new year is coming, you need to do spring cleaning anyway. The old clothes are of no use to you, but to the needy, it means so much. Stop killing the Earth! Make peace not war!
Sis has always been against the nature-activists, thinking that they are lame and bizarre. In a way, comparable to goth chicks who insist that they are vampires. I beg to differ. For the years that I've joined WWF, sometimes a simple electronic petition can mean so much. Why sit around and wait for your home to get destroyed? Sometimes it's not just about wildlife, the animals you're saving. Do you really wanna get killed by petrochemicals one day? Man are too selfish. And locking up animals in the zoo, that's so cruel. Initially, I thought The Singapore Zoological Garden is way cool because of the open concept so animals can still roam freely. Bullshit. They're so detached from their actual habitats. The animals are better off dead. You give a puma just 10metres long of space? To run? I wouldn't agree to what they have to say to educate the singapore kids because they are far too spoilt to understand the happiness of seeing animals and learning about them. Okay fine, this is far too debatable but somebody give the cats in the zoo more space please!
One fine day I wish for the success of Punch, so I can be actively involve in nature movements and peace movements. I look up to JayKay and Radiohead who are humble rich musicians. I want to save forests. I want to live to see wars in the Middle East stop. I want to see the Americans stop trying to be heroes.
Off to see if I can make any more donations.
